The Conveniences of Owning a Vehicle

Just so thankful that we have several vehicles that we can use anytime we want. A van, tamaraw (which we always use), motorbikes and a tricycle can make our travel more convenient and much faster. We also wish to have a Ford vehicle but we can’t afford to buy it anytime soon. Even though the oil prices increased once again, using our vehicles gives us more ease when we travel if we need to carry our stuff and if we have kids in tow.

Owning a vehicle can have some advantages but owners need to be responsible in maintaining it. As much as possible you need to check your brakes most of the times and if you suspect that it’s time for a brake job then by all means go to your repair pal immediately. Also check your oil, water and tires most especially if you’ll going to travel long distance. Nothing beats being prepared.

Are New Chevrolet Models Right For Me?

chevroletFinding the right new car is a big deal. I particularly like the new Chevrolet models that have recently become available. These look as if they could provide an individual with some of the most interesting and up to date features. I am considering the benefits of buying a new vehicle, but before I do, I need to better understand my options and what discounts I may be able to find.

As I look at the options in this particular line of vehicles, I first consider the vehicle style. There are sporty vehicles, which are great for those who are single and looking for something fun. There are outstanding coupes and family sized cars, which are probably the most logical of choices for those who are on a limited budget or who want a practical vehicle. There are trucks and vans of all sizes, too. And, there are SUV models available as well by this manufacturer.

After narrowing down those options, the next thing I need to consider are the features important to me. Some things are not options and must be included, such as air bags and the right engine. Others are less important but would be appreciated, such as having safety features and incorporating entertainment and GPS systems. I realize that some of these may be at a higher level of importance than others, though.

Finally, it comes down to the price. As I consider the options available to me in new Chevrolet models, one thing that remains most important is the price. I will spend some time comparing my options online to find out which dealerships can offer the best price for my particular needs. I will then spend more time negotiating with the dealership to get the best deal. If I can research online, though, I can find more opportunities for the vehicles that are right for me.

Safety on the Road

It’s always heartbreaking to see road accidents on the news everyday due to drivers carelessness. How many lives have been taken away because of accidents that can actually be prevented if not for the drivers who are drunk while driving, texting or even sleepy while on the road?

I always remind my brother to be cautious all the times when he drives and don’t even try to disregard traffic rules as much as possible for his own safety and other motorists as well. Car owners should always get insurance once they purchase their cars as a safety net just in case accidents will happen. Companies like Auto Insurance Virginia and Auto Insurance North Carolina are there to provide motorists insurance policies for their vehicles which I believe it is really a must-have. For young and new drivers, it’s not enough that they have license and know how to drive but they need to be responsible once they hit the road.

It's Fun to Stand Out and Unique

Owning a vehicle these days cannot be considered a luxury anymore. More and more people are finding it to be a necessity most especially if they need to be mobile most of the times. It’s also advantageous if you need to carry lots of stuff to your work or anywhere else for it’s a hassle to just use public transport. It’s great also if you have a big family that you can use for weekend outings or travel.

Car owners are also finding it interesting to customize their vehicles for it can be unique. Some people may put new mugs, dashboard kits, splash of new colors or rugs inside for a unique touch to it. Aside from that, personalised number plates are seemingly becoming very popular these days for they are eye-catching and can bring out your personality.

There are quite a lot of personalised plates and Car Registration Numbers that you can choose at SpeedyReg . You can opt to put your name on it, a slogan maybe, birthdate, nickname or whatever you feel like as long as the registration co. approves it. You only need to pay extra for you personalised car registration number plates . So the next time you want your car stand out from the rest, don’t forget that personalised number plates are affordable and fun.

She Wants a Crosswind

I just noticed that mom is really itching to ditch our old Toyota van these days. She said it again this morning while we are having breakfast because she really wanted to replace it with a crosswind. I sure want to have it replaced but her idea of replacing it with a “crosswind” is something that I don’t think I approve of. Anyway, I know I will not win if I insist something else so I’ll just have to go with what she wants since she will be the one buying anyway.

Having a vehicle has become a necessity to us since we usually travel back and forth to our business’ location. We also need a service to send and fetch the kids in school so we need a good service fan for our family. Sometimes having multiple vehicles can be a little hard because of the maintenance but that’s part of it. We also have to have insurance for them so in case of emergency it is covered.

Car Shopping

I was smiling when I saw the tweet of a friend this morning who is in the US. My friend C said that they just came back from car shopping with her husband. I tweeted her back and told her how lucky they are to do such shopping but she told me getting a car there is just so easy. If you have a work and have good credit score, you can just apply a loan at the bank and can get a car at any time, then pay your dues monthly.

Funny thing is that she even said it was just like shopping for shoes because it was so easy. hehe. Anyway, she said they already have 3 cars in their possession and I'm sure they all have auto insurance papers on all of them just in case.

Number Plates and their Importance

My nephew is planning to buy a new car but is slumped after finding out about the requirements needed to obtain one. Everyone knows that buying a car is not an easy process. Aside from the actual purchasing of the automobile, one also needs to worry about other requirements like the registration of a number plate. Why are number plates so important, you ask?

The conception of number plates actually came out of necessity, which started when cars started roaming the streets. It was first used as a way to identify the car sort of like a unique ID. Eventually, as the number of cars grew, governments found out that aside from identification, number plates can also be used as a means to control and regulate traffic. Other governments followed suit and imposed their own rules on vehicle regulation.

As time went on, other uses for number plates became apparent like vehicle classification based on type and location. It has even been proven useful in public safety and law enforcement as number plates were used to track ownership of cars. Every car that we see today now has its own number plate, which serves as identification as well as a license that the car is registered.

Car >Number Plates are indeed important and required by law. Do not fret if you need to go through hoops just to get your number plate. Keep in mind that they are equally as important as the car you will be driving.

Popular Personal Number Plates

If you’re the type of a person who loves getting lots of attention everywhere you go, for sure having personalised plates numbers will definitely suit your personality. Personal Number Plates are very popular these days and I guess you have noticed some cars having some unique names or numbers in their plates. Having these kinds of plate numbers can grab attention and can be fun as well. I’m sure you’ll love the added attention that you can get when you have such plates. It’s another way of showing your personality and self expression. With a little amount of money, any owners can flaunt their cars with their names, birthdate etc. in their car plates.

There are quite a lot of companies that are offering personalised plates online and you’ll have the liberty to choose among their collection that you’ll like. Just take your time in choosing the plates that you want because the possibilities are endless.

While there are some plates that are priced high, there are also affordable plates that any vehicle owners can avail. I even read that some enterprising individuals are getting those unique and limited edition plates so that they can sell them at high price in the future. Cool huh?

Importance of Cars

These days, we can already consider having a car as a necessity rather than just pure luxury. I know not every individual or family can afford to buy one but for those that require going out frequently due to work or business, owning one can be advantageous in the long run.

Just imagine all the hours that you’ll be spending just to catch a bus, train, jeepney or other means of transportation when in fact you can already use the hours wasted in being productive. Add the tremendous traffic and your day will be gone in blink.

Hiring a vehicle can be expensive as well so if you have the means, save money so you can buy your dream mitisbuhi, or honda. And if you already have a car and seeking for more styles why not check out this mini Fiat. There are great reviews online about this three-door hatchback. Hybrid cars are also getting good raves because of their aerodynamics and stylish looks.

Personalize Your License Plates

If you are a fan of the Beatles you might try "FAB 4". Prefer the music of Bono? Then "UUU 222" would be the way to go. Personalized license plates are an excellent way to make a statement each and every time you take the car out of the garage. For a fee, you can purchase personal number plates from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA); they offer a wide variety of combinations. However, it should be noted: the DVLA in the United Kingdom (UK) limits the use of language that may be considered offensive or sexually suggestive. Of course, if one can stay in the realm of general taste, the only limit is your imagination.

Custom plates add flair to your vehicle and are becoming increasingly popular. They are most common on high priced sports cars and sedans made by companies like Porsche and BMW. An owner of a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano chose “222 NICE" when registering for his plates. Other examples of vanity plates that represent how people feel about their cars include; "2FAST4U," "2QIK4U," "DEPECHE" (French for fast), and "IT XLR8S" (it accelerates). Even businesses have realized the utility of custom plates – they can be a marketing tool.

Interestingly, the most popular prestige plates are sold at auction. A plate that reads "VIP 1" sold for 285,000 pounds to businessman Roman Abramovich, the owner of Chelsea FC. Other plates that have brought a high price include ones used in the movies on cars that belonged to James Bond, like his Aston Martin with the plate "BMT 216K" in the movie Goldfinger.

The DVLA currently reports that it has more than 20 million possible plate number and letter combinations for sale. Due to increasing popularity, licensing agencies now recommend reserving plate numbers now as gifts for future birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions.

JEN 116 Plate

So what’s with that number for? Oh well, that would be my car plate number in the future if I will have my own car. If that isn’t possible then I guess if I’ll have my way I’d ask my mom to have our car number plates personalised just like my sister Joy’s plate number. I think it’s cool to have one since these days; almost everything can be customized so I think why not our plate numbers as well? Jen, obviously is my name while 116 are nos. 11 for my birth month while 16 is my birth date.

I know having a personalised plate number would mean additional expense on our part but I guess it doesn’t matter since our plates will be unique and can be identified much easier. If putting my name of the plate number is kinda cheesy, I know I can think of another a plate sign that will make it personalized. What about JAL 116.. hmm sounds good too, eh

Anyway, personalising number plates has long been popular not just here in our country but in many countries as well. Having one means giving your vehicle a more personal touch like putting your name or any significant word or phrase. It can also start up a conversation when a friend or someone sees it.

Dream Vehicle

We used our van going to the church this morning and we kept on whining because it’s hot inside eventhough the aircon is on. Yay, so we had no choice but to open the windows to let the air in. My bro needs to have it check asap since its uncomfortable to drive w/o ac on. Mom also dreamed of owning a new vehicle and this time she wants a Crosswind. Not so sure where she will get the money to buy but for sure she has some savings that I didn’t know.

Yey, I hope by next year we’ll have a new vehicle already (keeping our fingers crossed). I guess my bro would want to have it customized as well. He’s been seeing nice tail lights, dash kits and truck grills on his friends’ vehicles and I know guys love to dress customized their cars.

How much coverage should you buy?

This is not an easy question to answer. While in the negative it can always be said that you should not just stick with cheap third party coverage, it is not easy to say exactly what you should cover. Should you do collision coverage as well as comprehensive, or should you only retain collision coverage? There are also other types of coverage like GAP, and you should have some knowledge about all of these, and your particular situation, before deciding how much coverage to buy.

If a car is so old or so badly damaged that it will cost more to repair it than to buy a new one, its owner should, or should have, bought gap coverage. If you consider the likelihood of natural disasters in your region to be low, you may choose to opt out of comprehensive coverage. Collision coverage, however, is a must, because when an accident takes place, that is what cars do, they collide. This has more chance of happening to a car than its getting stuck by a lightning bolt, for example; so, in order to gamble less but gamble sure, collision coverage is a must.

If your region has a tendency to produce various so called "acts of god," like floods, tornadoes, lightning and what not, you will want to consider comprehensive coverage. This takes care of all non-collision accidents like the ones mentioned above.

Finally, it all depends on your particular situation; there are no preset rules about it. The best way to go? Find out a good car insurance agent who talks straight, then talk to him. He will be able to help you out best with how to make a choice in buying coverage.

The Thought of Driving

Driving around have lots of advantages that’s why I see no reason why there are many people want to learn how to drive. Anyone can learn to drive through driving school while some just learn on their own. Whichever you prefer just make sure you are always driving safely on the road and following all the road rules is a must. It’s not only for your  own sake but for all the people on the road.

I guess to be able to learn how to drive, it also requires courage that unfortunately I didn’t have. Shame on me for not pursuing my desire to drive one of our vehicles before for I’m not that confident. Oh well maybe one day, I’ll be able to find that courage and be behind the steering wheels and drive my way to anywhere. I know that driving feels liberating as my cousin who recently just learned to drive a car bec. her husband bought her one. I’m proud of her and in fact she’s been encouraging me as well when she enrolled in a driving school.

Owning a vehicle also involves responsibility of having it registered and insured. Owners can also easily get car registrations number for their vehicles online that can add a personality on your vehicle. I guess you see vehicles with plate numbers with their names on it and that always is cool. Look, I have my name on the plate.

It Needs Some Tune Up

Oh dear the weather is making us crazy lately because of too much heat. Just imagine having temps from 35-37C everyday with matching humidity then probably you’ll whine as well. I just got out of the shower few minutes ago and it feels like I’m inside a hot oven in the house. We have no choice but to drown ourselves with water and turn the electric fan full blast.

Not only humans are complaining but if only machines, gadgets and our vehicles can speak then for they will say that they got hot easily when used. Just last Monday, our Toyota Lite Ace broke down while my BIL was driving it in the middle of the hi-way on their route to the mall. With so much luck, my BIL was able to drive it again and fortunately the timing belt is not the one having a problem but they've got an overheated engine which brought the aircon  to shut down as well (yay too hot!).

How’d we wish we have a brand new vehicle, a Honda Accord is not bad to consider but we still need a bigger van that will carry us all when needed. Right now, my brother will have to schedule our Lite Ace for repair and hope he’ll find one a good one bec. good mechanics and shops are hard to come by.

Our second hand van needs some check up and I just wish nothing major repair that will require us to shell out lots of money will surface.

Customizing Vehicles

A good friend of my brother visited him the other day and from time to time I was able to eavesdrop some of their conversations that they had. They’re talking about their family, business and of course cars (what else is new with the boys anyway.) It seems that his friend is encouraging my bro to have our van modified or customized since he knew that my bro already modified his motorbike. I guess my bro is reluctant in doing it on our van since it requires money and that is not on our priority at this time.

Well, I know guys love to talk about their cars and I understand that. I’m not also wondering why there are some guys who collects cars and who’d really shell out great some of money for customization like putting custom wheels, dashboard kits and even those hot and eye-catching lambo doors. Guys are always resourceful and will always find a place like CarID where they can get car accessories and more.

Ford Appeal

Ahhhhh. Driving and owning a car I reckon can bring a whole new different feeling to a person. It’s so unfortunate enough that I can’t drive a car ‘cuz I only can drive a bicycle. Funny! Seriously, I have considered that long before but since I’m a little bit nervous and some negative thoughts are running in my mind so I discarded that wish. I just thought I’ll just use public transport or just hop in the family vehicles driven by my bro.

I know car lovers are always excited to own a new car and purchasing one can bring a whole new excitement. With literally thousands of cars with different models and brands, it’s sometimes impossible to pick in a snap. I guess before buying vehicles, you already know what type you want like a van, truck or simply a car. Just one of many options to consider is ford mustang. With good reviews that you can read online this car will definitely will not be left behind. Their 2010 model will make your hearts pumping for sure as it has a black cloth convertible top and of course other good car feature.

If I decide to own a car and drive for my own freedom, I’ll make sure to read reviews and ask friends/relatives about what type of vehicle will suit my driving needs just in case.

Want an Infiniti Car?

Having a car or any vehicle for that matter is very convenient for every one. We have 2 vehicles (van) and it is only mostly used when we go to our store every morning and going home at night. Though we can still commute and ride the public transport everyday, we still thought having our own vehicle is still the best as it can be used anywhere we go without paying fare or boarding from one bus to another. I just wish that petrol will go down because it’s a bit pain in the pocket plus the maintenance but that’s how it goes when you have your own vehicle.

As much as we wanted to have a car, I don’t see it fitted our big family. However for those that is seriously wanted to own one this year and been eyeing an infiniti all these years, i think this is the time to save and read reviews. I know you’ll drool over 2010 Infiniti FX35 model which is a wagon type vehicle with strong acceleration and high performance.

To help you with your choice of other models, I think it is also best to find photos and reviews online or even ask as friend who has similar vehicle bec. it can also help you to decide if the Infiniti is for you or not.

Choosing the Right Vehicle for Us

Just 2 months ago we bought a second hand van for the family and we are a bit lucky to have purchased it because it was just like brand new. The former owners are quite good in maintaining the van so my brother didn’t have lot of things to repair in there. Buying a second hand or brand new vehicle for us to use can be an overwhelming task to do because we have many things to consider.

My brother even has to resort online to look for van for sale and he also consulted us if we want it or not. There’s even a time where he needs to see the actual van and see if it as good as it looks on the pictures.

Most of us also need to consider our budget and our needs fro traveling. Do we need a big car, a mini-van etc.? I reckon it’s always best to look around, surf the net, read reviews and that’s where we can have good idea. If you are planning to buy one, don’t fail to stop by at www.thecarconnection.com for an in-depth reviews such as performance ratings, style, comfort and affordability of different car brands/makes.

You’ll find their full review helpful and useful. Aside from that they have photo gallery, car tips/news, classified ads and more.
