Strengthen Family Ties

I grew up with a strong family ties and I’m so happy about it. I guess we all aim to have a happy family where there is love, respect and support for each other. Sure there are times when there is misunderstanding or arguments but those are really normal for every family. Each member should be open for reconciliation because at the end of the day you’re still a family that will help each other in times of trouble.

As a family, you need to learn how to bond with each other. Here are some few things to strengthen family ties.
1. Spend more quality time with each other. Read books together, sing, laugh and talk to each other.
2. Create memories. Make a project together. Draw, make clay pots or anything that can keep you all bonded.
3. Eat together at the same time so you can catch up on each other’s activities.
4. Watch movies, shop etc.
5. Travel as a family and you’ll see the beauty of the place more and you’ll create more beautiful happy memories.

We should also learn to forgive each other’s misgivings. Teach your kids good values so when they grow up they will do the right things that you teach them.

Netbooks Come in Handy

About 2 weeks ago, my family and I went on a 6-day vacation in Singapore. It was a great opportunity for us to bond together because it was also a mini-reunion since my other siblings came from different country where they are residing already. We have lots of good memories together and those are priceless. We almost covered all the tourist spots in Singapore but still our 6 days are not enough. During those days, I'm so fortunate that I don't have pending works that's why I was able to enjoy our vacation.

My BIL brought along his netbook so he can download photos from his DSLR camera and posts our pictures via facebook while I just use my iPhone to post on my FB and twitter accounts. Bringing a netbook is much more easier because it’s much lighter compared to other laptops. They are perfect when you travel. Just in case you are contemplating of getting a netbook click here for best netbooks for your perusal.

The Mad Man that Shocked the World

Image: screenshot from yahoo news

These are the photos of James Eagan Holmes, 24, the suspect in the Colorado shooting rampage when he 1st publicly appeared in court. How can anyone in his right mind shoot people in the cinema who are just watching the new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises to have fun? He is clearly a mass murderer and psychotic with the behavior he has shown.

He has killed12 people and other 59 or so are hurt and still in the hospital. This is a very chilling incident that happened in Colorado USA and I just pray for the victims. I hope justice will be served and he be put into jail for like or if not in a death chamber. No individual should suffer on the things that he did.

Skinny Me

Lately, I've been receiving lots of comments from friends and family that I look so thin and asking if I'm sick or what. I always tell them that I'm not dieting or wishing to be this thin and I'm not doing anything to make me look like a stick that can easily be broken into pieces. I'm guessing that I started to get thin again when I stopped drinking softdrinks and coffee. Right now, I'm trying my best to gain weight and hoping to improve my appetite.

If gaining weight is my problem, I'm sure that many of you are wishing to do the reverse. I'm sure losing weight is another big problem for many but it seems that there are many supplements or medicines to take and buy at http://www.shoppharmacycounter.com/t-Adipex-Medicine.aspx to help weight problems.

Anyway, I'm trying to eat more lately, so the next time they'll see me, they will not notice my ectomorph body anymore.

Having Too Many Kids

I’ve been hearing lots of stories about poor couples living in slums and yet they have 6, 7, 8, 9 or even 12 kids !! Oh my goodness me, how can a couple raise their big family when they only have exact amount of money to buy foods in a day? Oh dear, I’m sad and disturbed as well to think that these days, raising a small family with 2 kids is already hard how much more if you have 12 mouths to feed?

It will not end there, when they grow up, how can you support their education? Even if we have government schools where there is no tuition fee, parents should still need to give them money for snacks and for their projects. With that kind of situation, kids are left at the house or worst in the streets to beg or steal. Some parents ask their children to get used plastics and cartons to sell. There are many families all over the country who are experiencing such misfortune.

I hope parents should be responsible enough. If they can’t afford to have a big family then don’t have too many kids because the children are very much affected. They really need to know about family planning. Just my two cents …

Nicki Minaj Live in Manila

Oh... how come I didn't know much earlier that Nicki Minaj will have a concert here in Manila. It was only today that I realized that she had a concert last night at SM Mall of Asia Arena. Oh I guess I'm old enough to be in her concert too because my generation is during Madonna, Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet in the 80's. My teenage niece also missed it because she has no money to go there. Anyway, we'll just wait for the videos in YouTube and probably a special on TV.

All I am sure is that her fans will not be disappointed because there's no doubt that they'll be using state of the art musical instruments. Plus, Nicki will be bringing the house down with her good music and dance moves. I'm looking forward though for the concert of the American Idol Season 11 come September here.

Another Thankful Tuesday

Ahhhh.. Tuesday is here once again and I'm one excited gal. We're back in the country after a much needed vacation in the Lion City last week.

There are so many things to be thankful for and here are just some.
1. Overseas trip last week with my family in Singapore! We all had a blast eventhough it's tiring most of the time.
2. Two new photobooks arrived yesterday and I'm happy with the outcome.
3. This blog and my other blogs are up once again after being down because my nephew forgot to pay the hosting.
4. Looking forward to the wedding of a friend soon and it's nice to be browsing for Alfred Angelo bridesmaid dresses online.
5. My cellphone SIM is working once again after cleaning it with an eraser.
6. Mom feeling ok once again after hitting 180/60 last week on our trip

Hello July!

Oh wow, we're already at the second half of the year and the next thing we know it's going to be Christmas once again! The 1st half of the year is fairly good to me, the only thing that I'm worried about is that my expenses has gone up but thankfully I can still manage all of my bills.

I'm praying that July will and the rest of the month will be a good one also. In fact, I started July with a well deserved vacation with my family overseas. Six days in The Lion City is a great bonding time for all of us and wish we all can stay longer and spend more time with my siblings but we all need to go back home because of our work and studies for my niece.

My older bro also needs to attend to the renewal of our van and fix its aircon unit. I hope it's not expensive just like the curt trailer hitches that my cousin had for his trailer.

July, please be good, ok!
