The Start of Something New?

My bestfriend resigned from her office work for about 2 years already to become a WAHM. She prayed for it to come as she’s been getting burned out with the office work and the fact that she’s not happy with what she’s doing. Finally, the day came when she no longer have to wake up early and prepare to go to work and go home at night feeling exhausted and drained.

She became a WAHM: working online but still have lots of ample time as a wife and a mother. She enjoyed it as what she’s been telling me but lately, an opportunity to go back to office world knocked on her door. She was still undecided and confused. She wanted to stay at home with the kids and still work but part of her wants to work outside her home for added income.

Right now, she has accepted the work as part time in the office. It was an offer from a co-worker before that she can’t refuse. She’s contemplating if she’ll accept to work everyday once again and just do her online works maybe early in the morning before going to the office or after work. I can see her really thinking hard these days but I know that God will guide her on her decisions. The question is, can she still do her online works and her office job as the same time without feeling too exhausted? That, she can only decide.

I wish her the best and maybe this is the start of something new for her once again. Good luck bes!

Royal Wedding Craze

To tell you the truth, aside from working and tweeting over online, I was glued on my sit watching the pre-Royal Wedding special and the ceremony itself. Our local TV network QTV 11 started their special around 3 pm and the TV was on till evening.

The wedding craze has spread like wildfire in the internet, social networking sites, newspapers and mostly on TV. It’s been days that I’ve been seeing and hearing about Prince William and Kate Middleton. The craze became wilder today at their wedding at the Abbey and just watching the event on TV made me excited as well.

Kate’s gown was simple yet elegant and timeless and she was beautiful though she was a little bit thin unlike before. Prince William is gorgeous as well but I think he needs a best hair loss treatment already, wink..wink.. as his hair is receding already. Their wedding is grand and of course it has captured the attention of millions of people around the globe and that includes me.

Hmm.. just thinking when will I meet my Prince William too? If ever he’ll not come then that would be fine… sob sob…

How Eating These Foods Can Help You Lose Weight

Looking for a way on how you can shed those pounds without starving? Finding a simple, easy yet effective food program can be quite a task especially if you are clueless about it. While diet plans are all over, choosing the right one for your body could be a game of hit and miss. Not that these diets are just a hoax but you have to remember that there is no one plan that fits all. Some people would find the Atkin’s Diet as effective and yet you didn’t notice any improvement when you tried it. This could be because of a number of reasons such as doing it the wrong way or that the plan does not suit you. Keep on trying and once you found one that works, stick to it.

Knowing what food to eat also plays a huge role in weight loss. This doesn’t mean that you have to deprive yourself of your favorite chocolate treat or ice cream. You can still eat them but it has to be in moderation. Come up with a meal plan for your breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. This might sound like a lot of work and a little pricey but with grocery coupons that you can use; it is as easy as A, B, C.

Breakfast is very important and you should not skip it. It increases your energy level for the day and speeds up the metabolism. You can start the day with a homemade smoothie made with fresh fruits that are rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Oatmeal and other high fiber cereals can satisfy your hunger and keep you feeling full for a few hours. Pour skim milk on your favorite brand of corn flakes and add slices of fruits to add a sweet taste. Most diets would encourage people to eat more during breakfast and gradually decrease the food intake as the day progresses. This is because you’ll have all the time during the day to burn those calories.

Keep your fridge stocked up with healthy food choices such as fresh fruits and green vegetables that you can munch whenever you feel like eating. Drop by your local food store and look for deals and special coupon discounts on such items especially during Sunday. Sometimes getting a whole bag of oranges could actually save you more than buying per piece. So be a smart and healthy shopper at the same time.

Go for gourmet diet meals such as the ones offered by Diet to Go. For those who are unfamiliar with it, this is a healthy meal program that gets delivered to your home. Options like this are ideal for those who don’t have the time to prepare and cook their own food. A variety of food choices are also available from services like Bistro MD which provides customers the ability to customize their diet plans.

Lastly, do not forget to drink water. This is the best way to satisfy thirst and hunger without the fear of weight gain. It contains no calories and at the same time cleanses your body by removing harmful toxins. With savings promo code offered by health websites, weight loss has become easier and affordable.

I was at home. My niece and nephew where in the house right beside ours as my SIL and bro where at work. From time to time, I check on them and see what they are doing. Sometimes kids leave a lot of mess at their house esp. when their parents are out.

It was one hot day and when I saw my dog, I could not help see her look like she’s also feeling the scorching heat so I decided to give her bath. Ahhh.. she was refreshed after that. With her thick coat, I’m pretty sure she wished she had

I am thankful for…all the works that I’m getting and I could not believe that the Lord is blessing me like that.

From the kitchen…I cooked our lunch early at 9:30 am because I hate to get up once I’m sitting in front of my computer and I’m working already.

Fun Times with my Nephew and Nieces

It is seldom that my nephew and nieces come with me shopping at a nearby mall. It was only yesterday when the 3 of them came with me to stroll the mall and just have fun. After having our afternoon snack, they accompanied me to go to the mall to pay my Internet bills and to shop a little.

My 7 yr.old niece will be celebrating her birthday come May 2 so I decided to buy her a sandals that she could wear. Actually, she’s been bugging me to buy her a new one as her old sandals could not fit her anymore. We also had some good times checking out womens boots, pumps and sandals. We endlessly try different shoes and I also end up buying an everyday sandals.

The fun didn’t stop there because, we redeemed the tutti frutti yogurt coupon that I had. I just tasted it and since it’s kinda sour for my taste, the 2 older girls enjoyed eating it. I’m sure they’ll come with me once again but I have to ready myself for they might ask me to buy them some stuff.

He Needs to Apply for a Job

We had a great lunch last Sunday with the whole family. The kids are out of school already since it’s already their summer vacation. Some of my nieces and nephews will be going back to their university this week for their summer classes and some because their univ has 4 semesters.

We had some good laughs and talks after lunch but my SIL can’t help but to feel a bit frustrated over her son because he still has no job up to now. We also can’t see him enthusiastic in getting a job even if it's one of those sales jobs. I told him he must not be too picky since there are thousands of new graduates who’ll be looking for work again.

I just hope after Holy Week, his interest in looking for work will come back and hope he’ll be applying once again. It’s just so hard to see him just at home, doing nothing and with no money on his own.

Can't Read Without It

I've been using reading glasses for nearly 5 years now and it'll take about 2 years before I go to my eye doctor to consult once again and have it changed. I prefer branded eyeglasses but there are also cheap eyeglasses that I saw at the optical shops for those that don't have enough budget.

I sometimes get irked when people (not so closed ones) tactlessly tell me that the reason why I'm wearing glasses is because I sit too much in front of my computer all day long. It may be true at some point but the comment is not appropriate for them to say to me as it is sending a different meaning to me.

Anyway, I can't read without my glasses on, so I make it a point to check if it's in my bag all the time wherever I go.

I Need to Stop

I can say that I've been spending a lot this 1st quarter of the year big time. I'm actually a penny pincher but when the time comes for me to shop and spend, then there are times I'm unstoppable. I've been shopping for bags, shoes, jeans, blouses and other personal stuff that sometimes it'll take time for me to wear it, yay! I guess when I shop for myself I'm thinking it was just a reward for being so thrifty and hard worker but I tend to go overboard at times, which I know is not good as well.

Bought personal items, an LCD TV, a digi-cam and kitchen utensils this year and thought of having our living room painted and light fixture changes. Also, I wanted a portable oven so I can bake if a recipe calls for.
