I Want to be a Voracious Eater

Wahhhh....

I'm browsing my food blog a while ago and thinking about what to post next when I saw some of my previous posts I had with delicious photos of foods on it. Seeing them makes me drool and hungry. I really wanted to taste lots of different foods but my digestive problems prevent me from doing so. I always have fear that I will bloat and get upset stomach all the time so I eat less when I'm dining out.

I'm going to have my check up real soon and hope that I'll be treated. Not really sure what's ailment I have yet but I promised myself that once I get healed I'll go out of town and eat at different restos if I can. Those are the things that I missed doing in many years since I got stomach trouble.

Anyway, I'm positive that I will get better and become a voracious eater!

I Missed the Fun

A highschool friend sent a message yesterday while I was busy with some works and going in and out of my computer shop to run some errands. She told me that a highschool classmate of ours came home from Japan for a brief vacation and ask them to be with him in a dinner at one of the restaurants.

They'll be going out for dinner and watch a band and she told me that she'll just text me the venue and the time later. Geesh, I didn't know that she was texting me and even called me on my cellphone that night asking me to come but too bad I didn't hear her text and call because my cellphone was inside my bag. It was only this morning when I saw her text and missed call.

Anyway, saw their photos at facebook and I got envy because I missed the fun. There are tons of food and the guys looked so full after eating their meal. I should have teased them that need best fat burners for men if they've eaten too much. I hope I can attend next time if there's another gathering and I just hope that they'll advise me ahead of time so I can prepare.

SEO Consultants

As a blogger, having page ranks on our blogs are very important on our online works. Having a higher PR means more work for many advertisers like put their links on blogs or sites with higher PR. Anyway, I must admit that I really can't understand how Google can rank each blog or sites. I know that page ranks depends on many factors like how many hits that your site has, inbound links and more.

I'm not an expert when it comes to SEO but it sure looks interesting to know how SEO really works. I have a tutorial about it but was too lazy to read and experiment on it. Some companies are even hiring seo consultants that can take care of their site's search engine optimization, web marketing and more.

Born Artist

Let me boast for a while here, please. I can say that our family has an inclination towards art. In fact, 2 of my older brothers are visuals artist who also won national painting and photography contests. There's no wonder that their kids also follow their footsteps. Some loves photography, graphic/web designing and the youngest of the pack loves to draw and doodle.

I always see my 7 yr-old niece drawing something on paper. She loves to draw people and recently fashion clothes like dresses and gowns. We've been telling her that who knows maybe one day she'll be a famous designer of her own or designing urban clothing both men and women. I hope that she'll keep her interests until she grows up for we'll be so proud of her.

Just tonight, I gave her some papers where she can draw when she's at our house after dinner. She quickly drew some gowns and of course I praised her works and tell her to draw some more. I even showed her some photos online where she can get some inspirations and she loved that idea.

Facial, Creams and Such

To tell you the truth, I have not had a facial treatment in my life ever. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or we all really need to go have and have our faced cleaned just like what celebrities and other people are doing. I guess I'm not that too vain and can't afford to have one, hehe.

I know I can see some visible lines on my eye area, forehead and near my mouth but I don't worry much if I don't see a derma to check on it. With all the eye creams like eyesential and other anti-aging solutions in the market today, I know I have many options to make just in case I really need to buy one of those. For now, I'm happy with my face as long as I don't have acne but my oily T-zone is what bothers me the most.

Lots of Memories in Photos

While waiting for more works this afternoon, I decided to take some photographs outside to keep my occupied. I've never done this for a while so it was good to do this once again. I immediately downloaded those photos onto my EHD and took the time to put some watermarks on some photos.

I also browsed my photo files and I enjoyed the time looking at some old photos of us that dates from 2008 up to present. I was also amazed to see how my niece with a clearer face free from her acne. I remember seeing her with lots of acne on her face on the photos that her mom shared to me. Fortunately with the acne treatment that the doctor gave her, it was gone already. Thankfully there are minimal scars that was left.

The photos of my other nieces and nephews also made me realize how they really have grown so fast and thanks for my efforts in taking pictures of them because we can see how they grow just by looking at their photos.

Patty found the love of her life via singles dating website

Our college reunion held 2 summers ago was one for the record. Excitedly, we reconnected with long lost classmates and there, I finally met Patty, a batchmate whom we have not seen for several years and we found out that she is still single. Her admission prompted those inconsiderate men in our batch to tease her without let up and in fact they were setting her up for a date with one classmate who is also unattached that time. Well, Patty pretended to be unaffected but she confided to me that she is having second thoughts to attend anymore future gatherings of our class. Last year, she stood by her pronouncement! She never showed up to our batch get together and the men were obviously looking for her.. looking for someone to tease again…..

Last week, I’ve got a surprise call from Patty after her being incommunicado for a year…. She sounded enthusiastic and beaming with pride as she announced that she finally found her match thru singles dating websites. She recounted that due to the endless teasing and pressures she has been getting from friends, she was persuaded by her cousin to meet people on line. She jokingly told me how she hesitated for a while because she was worried on how his neighbors will react and how their tongues will continue to wag once they learn that she succumbed to an online date. She can’t blame them for thinking maliciously for their minds are not yet open to this kind of set up.

However, Patty is obviously one happy soul and told me that if given the chance, she will gladly disprove and contradict misconceptions about dating websites. She asked if I have any idea when will be our next batch reunion, for she is planning to show up with her beau!

That would be the day and I am so excited for her….

Combating Air Pollution in Our Homes

The weather lately is not that good, it changed dramatically for the last few weeks. It started out so cold at the beginning of the year where we found ourselves wearing jackets when we go outside or even inside the house. There are even times when I have to put on socks for the cold temperature is making me chill and uncomfortable. We thought that weather will last for more weeks but as when February just came in, the heat has started to creep. Oh boy, we're already complaining how hot it was most especially outside.

I guess the weather makes a lot of people getting sick most especially the kids. My 8 yr old niece got sick for few days with colds and fever and her parents need to consult her doctor for medicines. The weather and the pollution are just some of the factors that makes us sick. The air that we breath everyday can also make us acquire diseases for there are allergens that are floating in the air.

Keeping our homes safe from these allergens can be minimized if not totally eradicate them. One of the many solutions that we can do is by getting air purifiers like those made by Rabbit Air. Molds, pet dander, odors and even cigarette smoke can be filtered this making the air in our house more safer to breathe.

Communication Made Easy

It's pretty amazing to know that communications these days are much faster and easier. Gone are the days when you need to wait for a week or two just to get the reply of your letter via mail. Though postal mail are still used to send message, it's not the ideal and used form of communication anymore. E-mail is much faster and easy and in just seconds the recipient will receive it instantly.

There are other form of communicating with our lived ones, clients, and to other people. Chat messengers, Facebook, Twitter and other forms of social networking. Not to mention the mobile phone that became a necessity already rather than a luxury. Texting and even calling someone is very easy. In the recent years, cell phone manufacturers are coming up with different style of mobile phones where we as consumers can choose whatever features that we like to have.

Blackberry curve , iPhone by Apple, Motorola Xoom and Nokia N series are just some of the popular cellphones in the market today. All you need to do is to find out what are the features that they are offering and match it with your cellphone and budget needs. These days, if you don't have a cellphone, it seems that you've been left behind.

Summer is Just Around the Corner

Summer is just around the corner and I already could hear from friends about their summer getaway. Why not? They got good deals on air fare and I guess from the resort that they have booked. I'm sure they will have a grand time with their respective families. As for my family, we really have no plans of going out of town.

If only I had my way, I want to go to Cebu, Bohol and Palawan but with my health conditions, it's refraining me from going out of town or going to far places. Anyway, I know that bonding and having fun with the family doesn't need to be expensive. I'm sure in the future, our family can go on tour or vacation once again just like what we did last Christmas of 2009 when we went to Hongkong for 4 days.

A road trip is also nice most especially if we have a motor home with a motorhome insurance for safety. I know it's more fun to travel when we're all comfortable esp. when there are kids. I'm sure those that already have bookings for vacation this coming March- May can't wait for summer to come.

Morbid Thoughts

Lately, I have not been feeling well and I hate to think that I'm sick. With so much delay about my doctor's visit, I feel like the more I delay the consultation, the more I feel worried. Ohhh dear.. would you believe that I'm already having some morbid thoughts. There was once instance where I thought about dying and all and thinking of my own funeral...Yay! I know I should not think about negative thoughts because it will not help me.

Anyway, I'm all set to visit my doctor before the end of the month and I praying that nothing is serious about my health. I also wanted some positive vibes and thoughts to come to my mind. Happy thoughts... happy happy happy.. please come.

Putting Your Heart into Anything

These days, sometimes having one job to support a family is not enough most especially when the price of commodities and fare are getting high over time. One of the many options that people try to do is to get another job so they can save more. aside from that, penny pinching and cutting down on unnecessary expenses are a good way to save.

I'm 31% Burned Out

You Are 31% Burned Out
You are a little burned out these days.
You are mostly energized and happy, but you occasionally wear yourself down.
Think about taking a personal day every so often.
You work hard, and you deserve to give yourself a little break!

I took this lil' quiz at blog things and it shows that I'm only 31% burned out these days, which I think is good. I don't burned out myself too much because I know I'll get sick if I'll do that. If I do work hard or extend my working hours at night, I'll see to it that I'll wake up late so I can recuperate. As much as possible I need to have 7-8 hrs. of sleep to feel energized the whole day.

What's the point of working to hard and killing yourself when in the end you'll end up sick.

Choosing Your Career Path

Choosing the best career path has never been easy but if you really know what you want, I guess you’ll never find it hard. There are so many courses offered in the university and you really need to know within yourself what possible job you want after taking that course. If you’re leaning towards the medical field, then that is good as well. You can choose among different courses like Medical Technology, BS Biology, Nursing and lots more.

Perhaps you’re dreaming of wearing one of those white uniforms that medical practitioners wear in their duties and lately, nurses have been wearing scrubs that are colorful and stylish. Not to mention, the Cherokee uniforms have become a part of medical uniforms. Whatever career you take, you need to find what your heart desires and love to do.

Accutane Lawsuit

I guess those that have been suffering from cystic acne have heard or have been prescribed to take Accutane by their doctors. That medicine raised a controversy in 2006 when studies showed that taking Accutane can increase the risk of the patient in contracting IBD inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, or ulcerative colitis. Due to that anAccutane lawsuit was filed by many victims. In 2007, a victim was even awarded with a $2.5 million in damages resulting to accutane use.

I know that there are still a lot of patients that have been affected by the use of this drug and just in case they didn’t know, they can still file a lawsuit against their doctor of they have been prescribed by the already banned drug.

Women's Passion for Laser Hair Removal, Botox and more

Women will always be vain. There’s always a reason to be worried when something atypical happened to our bodies. Be it acne, lines on the face, scaly skin, darkening armpits or whatever they can notice on our bodies. With all these concerns, women tend to find ways on how to solve these problems. It only shows that we want to take care of our physical beauty aside from of course the inner beauty.

Aside from that, women also worry about the unwanted hair in their armpits, legs, bikini area and other parts of the body. There are many ways on how to remove it but other methods such as shaving can harm and irritate the skin and can even make it worst. Laser hair removal is by far one of the popular method in removing those unwanted and unsightly hairs, which is proven safe and gives good results.

When we want to enhance our physical beauty, we need to look for reputable and licensed beauty centers or clinics that can really take care of us and our concerns

Where Did January Go?

Yay, January is gone and I can't believe it was that quick!

Time sure flies so fast and before we even know it, it'll be Mother's /Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween where you'll be busy looking for halloween costumes once again, All Saint's Day and soon Christmas and New Year. I guess time goes by so quickly especially if you're busy but for those that are idle, they can count every second, minute and hours all the time. It's better to be pre-occupied than doing nothing at all.

January has been pretty good for me, there are quite couple of events that happened and I'm noting it all down either on my personal blogs or in my small noteboook. I'm doing that so that I'll not have a hard time when I'm going to scrap all the photos that we have throughout the year.

Hoping Chinese New Year will Bring More Luck

Now that Chinese New Year will officially come February 3, 2011, I've been craving for the tikoy (Chinese rice cake) that we used to buy at Eng Bee Tin store in Binondo. My brother used to go there in Quiapo almost 2x a month but I'm not sure he'll be able to go to Manila to buy us some hopia and tikoy.

Anyway, I wish someone can give us tikoy as it was believed to be lucky. I also made sure that I cleaned the house today and I'll be wearing something red tomorrow. I guess there's no harm in following their tradition as we all want to be happy, prosperous and healthy. I'm sure other non-Chinese will even put lucky charms, circle shaped fruits on their tables or omnimount for luck. Just remember even if we follow what the Chinese are doing, we still need to work hard and not just rely purely on charms.
