Litratong Pinoy: Proteksyon (Protection) FERN-C

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Bawal Magkasakit !!!

No one is allowed to get sick!! Especially these days when the deadly A(H1N1) virus is still spreading. One of the best ways to fight ailments is by drinking Vit. C like this FERN-C that can't be bought in the drugstore, it is only sold through dealers. My nephew and niece are drinking this and it helps them. Join us at LITRATONG PINOY

More Beautiful Things To Come

Wow it's August already on Saturday and it seems that the days goes by so quickly that I didn't almost noticed.

I am looking forward to more beautiful things to come this second half of the year. Aside from recent shopping loot s online that I am still waiting for it to arrive, I am already anticipating our highschool 25th (silver) Reunion come this Dec. Our Hongkong trip in December as well makes me want to pull all the days to finish so that we'll have a vacation there.

I am also hoping for more good business opportunities online and also here at my net cafe. There are many things that I am thankful for and I know if I feel down lately, new windows and blessings will come my way. Have a great day everyone!

A Man Named Kelly Hildebrandt will Marry a Woman named Kelly Hildebrandt

A Man Named Kelly Hildebrandt will Marry a Woman named Kelly Hildebrandt. Wow this is amazing and one of a kind! I was blog hopping when I read this one of a kind and very unique incident. Kelly with the same name and surname met on Facebook and soon they will be getting married.

Their romance started when Kelly, the woman (20) searched her own name on Facebook and the same name Kelly Hildebrandt (24)(the man) appeared on her search. She got curious and left a message for him and they started communicating. Soon they will be getting married. Really a very unique incident.

Pres. Gloria Arroyo's Last SONA

It was declared no classes on all levels  in Metro Manila and for elementary and highschool levels in NCR today July 27, 2009 because of the SONA (State of the Nation Address) of Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. It is believed to cause traffic.

The SONA started around 4 pm today at the Batasan building and right now our TV was on and I could hear her on the background. My mom is watching it and I could hear her talking about her accomplishments and telling the nation that our economy is stable. I am not sure how long will her speech will take. Hmmm I can hear applauses every time she finishes her few sentences.

I'm Craving for Baked Spareribs

Been craving for baked spareribs for sometime now. We were suppose to cook it last weekend but it didn't push through. I am noticing that every time my monthly visitor is coming, I usually have some cravings like chocolates and more. This time i want a spare ribs in honey sauce.. Yum..

Tomorrow my sister in law will be making one for our lunch to pacify my craving.. Can't wait for it.

WP Theme on the Look

As much as I wanted to retain the current theme on this blog, I have to reaplace it because the formatting in the photos is not proper and I hate it. Maybe the theme has some bug or something. I am trying to find a new one since yesterday but I could not find something similar to this one while others are just plain corrupted when I try to upload the theme maybe because it is not compatible with the Wordpress 2.8 version that I am using on this blog.

Boo... searching searching and I hope I can find one.

Sugar Overload

I just had meryenda a while ago and I just had mamon with meringue on top. It was so sweet than I need to drink water all the time. I ate the whole piece and I think i had a sugar overload.. Yay!! Fortunately I don't have a diabetes or else my sugar will shoot up high.

Had a nice snack but oh no i think I am going to have a migraine attack right now, must be because of that and too much heat right now. Oh gosh I want to go right now... Oh well, if the pain didn't subside, I guess I need to drink med already.

Food Friday: Chicken Snitzel

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Yay, I almost forgot that today is Food Friday. Kindly excuse my memory gap hehe. Anyway, this is a CHICKEN SNITZEL platter with salad and fries. This is one of my favorities to order when we dine out while I was in Australia. Eventhough there's no rice, it is still filling because their serving is BIG compared here, plus the fries will serve as the carbo. Oh yumm... I miss eating this.

Christmas Will Always Be Special

Everyone is up and about during holiday season. The smiles on the faces of the kids are priceless as they receive and open their gifts. As I child I have a vivid recollection on how my mom wake us up excitedly to have Christmas Eve dinner and to open our gifts. Our eyes beam with delight especially when we got what we like. During Christmas day we go to our relatives to receive more gifts. The get together serves also our bonding times.

These days it’s also nice to have Christmas parties among our family and it’s pretty easy now to order< Christmas Party Invitations online at Invitations Shoppe. I know we’ll not have a hard time looking for unique designs where we can also have it personalized. You can add a photo or a logo on your Christmas Party Invitation that you’ll order at http://www.invitations-shoppe.com as they offer free shipping as well. Christmas parties are not also complete without Christmas Invitations being sent out. I am looking forward in receiving a Christmas Invitation these coming months.

Sound Trippin': I'll Be by Edwin McCain

I'm just takin' a little break from my work and thought of sound trippin' again. I do this when I am already stressed or burned out with my work especially these days I am a bit up quite early and staying up late till midnight. Anyway, got this song at YouTube and been lovin' this song since then. I know it's already an old song (not that too old though) but it's a breeze to hear it again.

Come listen with me. Here's I'll Be by Edwin McCain with Lyrics.

A Little Behind

Oh no.... I am little behind in uploading my Project 365 or my photo-a-day photos at my Flickr account. Blame it on me as I became too busy lately with a lot of things. Oh well at least I don't intend of stopping taking photos each day because I am already half way through. I just need to download some photos at my memory card then If I find time this weekend I will put watermark on them.

Wish me luck so I can have more ideas on what to take photos each day.

What Do You Need to Be Happy?

We all need to be happy in our lives that sometimes we all strive to do the best thing we can do to achieve that. I took this li'  test to find out what do i need to be happy and this is the result.

You Need Friends to Be Happy

You are a friendly, social person. You seek out connections and relationships.Being close to others is very important to you, and you don't like discord. You feel great when you're cooperating and working with others. You enjoy belonging to a group.Nothing makes you feel worse that feeling alone or alienated. You want to be liked by those around you.

Making Halloween Fun For the Kids

Halloween can be one of the fun ways where kids can get together. Each year more and more cute Halloween costumes are being seen and other people are very creative on how they dress up their children. From the simple witch suit to Buzz light year get up, the costumes are endless. It’s fun to see kids glam up for the day but sometimes they got bored walking and knocking on other’s houses.

There are other fun ways to keep the children interested in Halloween. You can send out Halloween Invitation that you can order at Cards Shoppe and hand them out to kid’s parents to gather for a Halloween Party. You can have an award for the best dressed kid for the Halloween and have scary games too. Be creative and allow children to play along. I know kids will always enjoy getting their Halloween candies and stuff after the party. So if you are planning to host the party this year. Have fun organizing!

Food For Thoughts: Follow Your Dreams

I have been reminiscing my younger years (not that I am too old) lately and I it's funny sometimes to think about what I have it mind then. I remember telling myself I wanted to work in a bank as a teller because my sis and I have been playing about being in a bank when we are kids. It's doesn't come through I guess because i hated math..lol

Anyway, enough of it. I just wanted to share some Quotations that I found here and it's inspiring:
"If you can imagine it you can create it. If you can dream it, you can become it."
Ward, William Arthur

"In your heart, keep one still, secret spot where dreams may go and sheltered so may thrive and grow." Driscoll, Louise

The Creative In Me

I have always loved arts and crafts for as long as I can remember it and I guess it runs in our family. My dad in his younger and single years used to do paintings of scenery. In fact, we have one of his painting of Mt. Mayon in Albay still kept as a souvenir. If I am not mistaken it was drawn way back in the 60's or 70's, I have to check on this one.

I remember I have always enjoyed doing crafts like crochet, tatting and embroidery way back in elementary and highschool. I also made crafts like, door hangers, door wreaths for myself and as gifts as well. Buying local natural items even brought me to Divisoria where I can buy them at low price because it was wholesale. It was fun but later on, I had to give up making such because I found another new hobby.

In the 90's, Cross-Stitching faved its way to hands of hobby lovers. I found myself stitching in 1995 till the wee hours of the night. It was rewarding to see all my stitched works framed and hanged up on the wall. If I will have time I will shared some photos here. I did stitched till 2001.

I later found DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING as my hobby now and I have made and have printed some of my works. I am also into DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY which I enjoyed as well.

How about you what is/are your hobby/hobbies?

Never Too Early To Send

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="145"] Invitations Christmas Invitations Christmas[/caption]

Just one of the most celebrated events all over the world is Christmas and everyone is up and jolly during this Holiday Season. Though it may seem a bit far yet but it’s never too early to make our preparations a little bit ahead. You know during Christmas everyone will be busy and most of the shops got tons of orders so if you are late in ordering your Christmas Party Invitation then you’ll end up cramming or you might not send any Party Christmas Invitations at all and that’s a boo!

Found this card at Holiday-Invitations where they make Christmas invites and it seems nicer to send cards like that. They print and ship orders the same day it is approved so it’s not a hassle anymore. If you have a picture or a logo for your company, you can have it inserted on the card.

Storm Isang Left Me & Others Stranded

How can I forget yesterday?

I could not leave our house because It was raining real hard yesterday morning but I still went ahead as I have to pay some bills. It was about almost 12 noon when I am heading back to my shop but the continuous rain made our street flooded. The jeepney that I was in didn't want to drive across the floods so he gave my money back to I can ride another one.

I boarded another jeepney but the driver saw the deep floods ahead so all passengers are then instructed to go down. Arghhhh.. I don't want to walk in the floods so I decided to wait for a while. Finally after waiting for about half an hour, a brave jeepney driver drove through the floods and finally I reached our place. It will flood easily here in our place if there is a continues rains.

My nephew on the other hand, went to Manila and was on his way home round 5 pm when he got stranded. Nothing to ride he decided to walk till he reached the place where buses are there. He managed to squeeze himself in the bus and he got home at 11 pm. YAY!

Floods everywhere!! No classes in NCR right now and other parts of the nation. It's raining still, cold and gloomy. What a nice weather to sip hot soup and laze around.

Busy as a Bee

Oh my goodness I' ve been busy lately that I almost forgot to update in here. There are so many things that has happened this past week online and offline. Some things I want to keep private and I don't want to post about it.

Anyway, work wise, It's been doing good. Blessing poured on me lately that I am oh so thankful about it. Wish I can receive more soon. I am also busy with my net cafe, students are back to school again so during late afternoons, students flock in my store to have their projects printed or they need to research something online. My other sidelines like making business cards, invitations etc are taking a back seat. Hopefully it will pick up once again.

Food Friday: Fish Roll and Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Wow it's Food Friday once again and it's time for me to get hungry once again while browsing all the participant's food entry. It'll be lunch time soon so need to feast my eyes again hehe.

Anyway, this is Fish Roll and Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa, String beans and squash cooked in coconut extract. The fish roll is made out of TAIWAN fish, have your heard that one? It's my 1st time heard such and these where actualy cooked by my SIL.

We are getting health conscious lately so fish and veggies are not to be missed 2x or 3x a week. Happy Friday everyone!

Thankful

The start of this month proves to be a good one for me, work wise at least. I have been wanting to get lots of opportunities in my online and offline works and it seems that blessings are pouring. I am thankful for that and it just doesn't come without me exerting extra effort. I have to extend my waking hours that it sometimes replaced my viewing  (wacting TV) times at night.

I also had to get up early at aroun 530 or 6:00 am which is unsual for me because I was accustomed to waking and getting up at least at 8:00 am. I slowly have changed my waking habits and it looks like it is working wonders. Like they say early bird catches the worm. I hope there are more worms soon because here I am ready to bite them

Former Phil. President Corazon (Cory) Aquino Fighting for Her Life

Wow it was really a sad news to hear this on the news. Former Pres. Corazon (Cory) Aquino is fighting for her life. She is battling stage four colon cancer and now all her friends, relatives and family are deeply praying for her. Mass are held in different churches dedicated to her speedy recovery.

It was also very unusual to see Kris Aquino not being vibrant when she hosts last Sunday's show "The Buzz". The family is not sharing more details about Cory as they want to keep it private. Let us just hope that she will recover.

Can We Really Be Safe?

My entry for LITRATONG PINOY- Kandado

Sensya na d ko na translate sa Tagalog ang entry ko. My other Entry at my other blog.

These days we can't help but to take extra precautions on safeguarding our belongings and properties. I clearly remember many years ago how our house was almost ransacked by some burglars. They forced their entry on our house leaving our door knobs wrecked and messy. Fortunately no one is at home at that time.

There's also an instance when one afternoon i think it was in 2006, my instinct somewhat told to go home and not long after while I was in my room, I heard a noise inside the backyard. I peeped in my window and to my shock I saw a guy in an orange shirt jumped over our steel gate going at our back door. I was so scared that time because he was forcing our door by stepping on it real hard. That is the only time I screamed ... " Burglar!! Burglar !! and I am glad that he didn't gain entry or else he might have killed me or whatever..

I saw him run fast and left his left rubber slippers. Unfortunately I didn't see his face. None of my neighbors heard my scream that time and gosh for sure if he got inside the house with me in it, I know no one can save me even if I yell. After that I was shaking and called a neighbor over the phone so she can check on me. This I will not forget and I hope I will not experience this anymore.

lock2

To this day, we had installed much higher steel gates and put more extra KANDADO (LOCKS) in the gates hoping it will give extra protection but I guess no matter how many locks we put, burglars will really find a way to gain entry. Hmmmppp... Can we really be safe?

WW: Gotcha!

gotcha

Pssst.. Take a look at my camera.. smile !!Gotcha! More Wordless Entries Here
