3 Ways to Cover Your Medical Expenses

There are things you can financially plan for in life such as having a baby, purchasing a home, or buying a car. Rarely do people plan for medical emergencies or medical expenses. Not planning ahead such expenses often leaves many people struggling to come up with the necessary funds to cover medical procedures or medical expenses.

If you have found yourself in a position where you need to come up with the money to cover your medical expenses or procedures, the following are three ways you can come with the cash you need.

Payday Loan Centers

Payday loan centers are a great resource for people who need cash quickly. Payday loans allow you to borrow money when you are in between paychecks. You will have to pay interest on the money you borrowed, but it is a great way to get money fast.

Applying for a payday loan is easy. You will be required to show a valid ID, proof of income, and depending upon the payday lender you may have to provide references. Most>payday advance lenders will typically approve you for a loan within 24 hours of receiving your paperwork and loan application.

No Interest Medical Credit Cards

Some credit card companies are offering a credit card that can only be used for medical expenses. You apply for the credit card like any other credit card, and will be given a credit limit for your medical expenses. Doctors and healthcare providers can put in applications to the credit card company to raise the credit limit if the medical procedure or expense exceeds the credit limit on the card. People who put medical procedures on this credit card will have up to a year to pay off the balance before they are charged interest.

Selling Personal Items

Selling personal items through a pawn shop or website like eBay can help you get the money you need to cover your medical expenses. Depending upon the items you are trying to sell you can get hundreds of dollars that you can put towards a medical procedure or medical expenses.

Popular items to sell include:
• Video Games
• DVDs
• Computers
• Clothing
• Books
• Old Toys
• Other Electronics such as TVs, DVD Players, and eReaders

Encountering medical expenses that you haven’t financially planned for can be frustrating and stressful. Applying for a payday loan, selling personal items, and using a no interest medical credit card, can help you come up with the cash you need to cover you unplanned medical expenses.

We Can Express Ourselves Through Hobbies

I guess most of us already has a hobby that we love doing if we have spare time. Getting into a hobby can relieve us from stress and can make our minds more creative as well. Personally, I have quite few hobbies , I started arts and craft, in the 80's, cross-stitching and crocheting in the 90's, and recently I'm into digital photography and digital scrapbooking. I enjoyed all of them because it is where I can express myself. Hobbies are relaxing and gives us a different euphoria every time we finished a project or has done something nice.

My brothers are into visual art (painting and photography) and like me, they can express their creative side through that. There are actually so many hobbies that we can get into just know your passion. Some guys are into building model kits and even buy moebius models online. Others collect items, into car racing and more.

What about you, what is your hobby?

Managing Files the Safest Way

Ensuring complete privacy of your computer files can be tough, and we all know there are documents we do not want other people seeing, whether they are for legal matters or for other situations.

Whether you are concerned about keeping your computer files safe, faxing important documents, or guaranteeing privacy when uploading them on the Internet, here are a few tips to help you out.

Creating Back-up for Your Computer Files

Even if you have your own personal computer, your files may not be completely safe. Every time you leave your computer unattended, it gives someone else a chance to browse through your files. Even if you have your computer password-protected, if your computer crashes, you may never be able to retrieve your files.

That is why it is always a good idea to create a backup. While your computer, can crash and CD's can scratch, you may want to use a flash drive when trying to keep your files private. A flash drive can easily be kept in your pocket so no one has access to it, and you can even password-protect it.

Managing Your Faxes

Many people have discovered that sending a fax to a regular fax machine, or even receiving one, is not a very reliable way to keep your files private, as you never know who will be on the receiving end.

Online faxing is becoming an increasingly popular way to send faxes, as all documents are password protected. Online faxing with Metrofax or with other high-rated and affordable sites is a great way to send your personal documents.

Uploading Files on the Internet

When you upload files to the internet, you always want to make sure that the site you are uploading to is secure. Generally, a site that begins with ‘https’ opposed to ‘http’ in your address bar is a secure site, but you cannot always use that to ensure that your files won't be found.

Read a variety of reviews to see if anyone else has had problems with that particular site. You should also carefully read through the website's terms of service to make sure that they have no rights to your files after you have uploaded them.

If you trust the site, you can even use this as a way to save your files as a backup since it will generally be password protected and you can reach your files anywhere with an Internet connection.

Doximity: Enabling Physicians to Connect with each other

I guess most of us already have accounts on Facebook, twitter, Pinterest and other social networking sites. It’s a good medium to connect to different people, friends and even family members for personal or business reasons. Many are hooked and addicted over these sites and we can’t blame them for it’s a way to interact and communicate faster and effectively.

For physicians, the emergence of Doximity has given them a place where they can connect with their other colleagues. It’s a private network, where they can exchange secure messages, share private phone lists, back lines and pagers with each other. You can check out the public profile of many doctors like Jack Marshall MD, know more about their specialty, affiliation and other info. Doximity is available on the web, iPhone, and smart phones. Now, physicians have the reason to communicate quicker and discuss the latest treatment and other topics with each other.

Medical Teaching Courses, Medical Management Courses and more for Doctors

I have a medical course background and eventough I’m not practicing it anymore, my hat is off to all medical professionals who are continuously serving and doing their very best for their patients. I have a lot of friends who are doctors right now and after so many years we had the chance to see each other again just last year and I’m in awe about their achievements in being a medical doctors. They have many different fields, I have a friend who is an internist and OB-gynes and I’m so proud of them.

Some may think that doctors after getting their residency and diploma will just sit in their clinics to attend to their patients. Little did they know that doctors continuously attend seminars, conferences and even study or take up gp exam to update their medical knowledge. We all know that there are many inventions, technology changes and more diseases and ways to cure them being known from time to time so they need to keep themselves abreast with the new developments.

For those medical doctors wanting to be a GP specialist to upgrade their career, they need to attend medical skills training and later on get an exam. Oxford Medical, one of the largest medical career development company in the UK can help medical doctors with their , medical teaching courses, medical management courses and other medical career development program. Just check out their site to know more about their and what they offer. Don’t forget to check out their gpst stage 3 if you’re getting the gp exam. It’s now time to upgrade your medical expertise.

Film Photography Photowalk in Binondo

My nephew is into photography and in fact he loves it so much. I can see him holding his DSLR and even his film camera on his hand all the time. I guess he is practicing his shots and maximizing the full potential of his skills and cameras. Sometimes, he does it for living already, joining to a photoshoot with his friends.

Just yesterday, I saw a message at his FB wall that encourages all of his friends to bring all sorts of film cameras such as SLR, Point and Shoot , Rangefinder, Twin Lens Reflex, Pinhole, Half frame, APS, Medium format, Large Format, and everything in between. They should not also forget the camera tripods to aid them in the photoshoot.

Film Photography Photowalk will be on January 23, 2012 I, Chinese New Year.  Location is at Binondo, Manila Film Meeting place would be Hidalgo Street Quiapo Manila. I know this will be a lot of fun for they will experience Chinese New Year celebration.

Follow Your Heart

Following their dreams is what I’m always telling my friends, nieces and nephews. I told them that if they want something to achieve they must or need to work hard for it and do it if their heart desires it as long as they will not harm or bothered anyone.

My distant cousin who is already working in a corporate world resigned from her job because her heart is not into it. She is looking for something more and she found her real passion, which is beautifying others so enrolled herself into beauty school and now she loves what she is doing.

If you are like my cousin that loves beauty then follow your passion. A beauty school can fulfill your dream of becoming a good and professional beauty expert.

Reminder to Self

s

Need to remind myself about this and this is a must!!. Sometimes we tend to copy what others or our friends are doing or buying in order to fit in but we have to realize that we are not all the say and it’s ok not to have what they have as well.

HP Brand Lover

Aside from blogging, I’m also into digital designing. Been designing since 2007 and I’m loving it. Just last August 2011, I bought a new HP desktop for I want a bigger screen when I’m designing my digital scrapbooking kit. My laptop’s screen and speed can’t keep up with my designing needs so I decided to get a new desktop that I can use here at home.

I love HP brand so I bought the same brand in GH. Luckily, it was on sale and along with that I got a free speaker and HP printer. I must say that HP products are durable and performs well. Been using the printer since August and I’m quite surprised that it still has a toner up to now. When the time comes the ink will run out, I know I will get an original toner cartridges to maintain the performance of my printer. With the looks of it, I guess the printer is toner saver and I got my money’s worth already.

New Year, New Trials, New Triumphs and more

Hey everyone, how’s your holidays and 2012 so far?

The holidays are just too busy for most of us and I guess we’re all ok now that new year has started. 2011 is pretty good for me and I hope 2012 brings more luck and good things for all of us. I’m just praying so hard that no more disaster where hundreds of people will die just like what happened in the Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City tragedy last December. It’s just so heartbreaking to see their condition in the news and to hear all the sad stories.

May the Lord bless us and like everyone are saying, there’s new trials and challenges but we need to be ready to face them for all problems will have a solution. We need to trust in the Lord for He has the almighty power to give all the blessings and the healing that we all need.

Happy new year everyone!

New Independence, New Responsibilities: A Guide to the First Few Years on Your Own

There are few times in life more exciting than when you leave home to attend college and begin your career. This is a time of freedom that is unmatched in any other time of life. After you begin work and find a partner, the rest of life seems to be set for you. But this is a time that you can learn, grow and enjoy everything that life has to offer. The only little down side seems to be getting a grasp on your finances.

Learning to Set a Budget

Life isn't as easy as many moms and dads make it look, because they've had two or three decades more experience than you. But many of the things they're telling you are right. You need to set a reasonable budget and learn to stick to it. In time, you will build savings and credit. Until then, you have to learn to do without a few things you'd really like. When an emergency creeps up, use options like Mobiloans to get your life back on track.

How to Make a Budget

Figure up your net pay. This is how much you bring home each paycheck after taxes, insurance and other deductions. Then add up all of your monthly expenses. List the most important things first. Subtract what you have to have to live each month from what you earn, and this is the money you have to use at your discretion.

Using Discretionary Money

You probably have a lot of things you need and even more things that you want. Make a list of your priorities and spend your extra money where it really counts. It may be worth it to you to skip eating out and spend your money on art supplies or car parts. This is part of being an adult, and there is nothing wrong with making sacrifices in one area to enjoy another, as long as the bills are paid and you are eating regular meals.

In the Long Run

It is important to remember that the freedom of this time of your life does come with a price tag. It takes time and experience to build wealth. Set a small amount of money aside each week to build a savings account. Use credit wisely and don't take on a monthly car payment or high rent payment that you aren't going to be able to make. Above all, be patient. Your parents probably didn't own a home the day they graduated, either.

Batchmates Get Together

Last December, I guess most of us spent the days attending family reunions and get together of friends and other relatives. Yearly, our highschool batch is having an annual Christmas get together in one of our batch's house. Last year, eventhough we are few in numbers, the laughter and the bonding is incomparable. All of us enjoyed talking about our highschool days wherein we can't help but to burst into laughter at times. It's also good to know the status of our lives. Some are stay-at-home moms, others are business people while others are professionals. One batch mate is a doctor, others are nurses, while others are dentists.

Just in time, I need to have my teeth fixed and I wanted to try her service this year. I heard she has lots of clients among our batchmates and soon I'll be her client too. I bet she worked hard to be a dentist and I guess she also dreamed of being in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Jobs too.

Another batchmate who is a nurse came home from the US for her Christmas vacation and this month, we’ll be meeting her and her family. I just home I can come for she was my friend back in highschool too.
