At first, I really never cared if I don’t have a nice or branded watch or if I have only one watch that I can use over and over again. My love for watches only started back in the late 90’s when I got a watch as a present from a cousin in the US. I treasured and appreciated it so much that I kept the watch up to now. Later on, another cousin gave me another watch as a gift when her mom went home for a vacation back here in the country. I sure felt special because I’ve been receiving watches as gifts.

I soon found myself saving money and bought a branded watch for my birthday. My purchases didn’t stop there as I’ve been also buying from a friend overseas. Even my brother-in-law noticed that I love watches so when I had my vacation in Sydney few years back, he pulled me to a watch store and asked me what I want. So generous of him so I just picked a gold Guess watch. Before I went back home, I could not resist not to buy another silver watch with Swarovski crystals thus I made that purchase.

A trip to HK Disneyland in Dec. 2009 also made me purchase a leather-strapped Minnie mouse watch. Would you believe that just the other night, my eyes feasted on the some watches that I found on e-bay? I’m on the verge of buying one but unfortunately the debit card that was attached on my paypal is already expired that’s why I can’t make any purchase at the moment. Bet ya, it was close.
Anyway, so you think I’m already contented with some of my watches? I’m still intending to buy few and perhaps I’ll try some other brands such as Croton Watches, Michael Kors and Anne Klein Watches. I have an uncle and aunt who are working as nurses for over 2 decades now and for sure, they have enjoyed their chosen career to the max. They 1st worked and gained experience in the hospital in the Middle East and finally landed a job in hospitals in the US when they migrated there.

I bought my laptop in June of 2009 and after a year my laptop battery went dead on me. Now, I have no choice but to use my laptop with direct source of electricity. After fully charging my battery, there are times that I don’t unplug it from the socket and that is the reason that I might have been overcharging my battery.

Looks like I already need to buy a battery and check out the prices of batteries online. I know it’s kinda pricey especially if I want to buy an original Dell laptop battery. I already called the store where I bought my laptop and they have no stock and I need to order from them just to get one. Yay!

I learned my lesson now, don’t overcharge my battery!

I guess you already know about the unrest in Libya in the past few days. It has affected thousands of people, not just their locals but many foreigners as well. There;s so many OFW or overseas Filipino Workers that are coming by batches from Libya to escape the turmoil there. Upon hearing the various stories of our workers, I can;t help but to feel sad for them and their family as they not only lost some of their belongings while they are escaping in the borders but their jobs that are giving them salary that can feed their families. I’m not so sure (nobody really knows) when the tension will subside but I hope it’s soon.

There’s also a news that in Saudi there’ll be a huge demonstration and protest come March 11, 2011 and it’s very alarming. I have a sister and a brother-in-law who are working there and it seems that if worst will happen, they are going to evacuate and go home in the country as well.

It’s just so sad as there are many workers that will be jobless when they go home here. I just hope and pray that it will not surface. We need to pray that everything will be alright and not many will be affected. It’s just too sad.

As a blogger, having page ranks on our blogs are very important on our online works. Having a higher PR means more work for many advertisers like put their links on blogs or sites with higher PR. Anyway, I must admit that I really can’t understand how Google can rank each blog or sites. I know that page ranks depends on many factors like how many hits that your site has, inbound links and more.

I’m not an expert when it comes to SEO but it sure looks interesting to know how SEO really works. I have a tutorial about it but was too lazy to read and experiment on it. The weather lately is not that good, it changed dramatically for the last few weeks. It started out so cold at the beginning of the year where we found ourselves wearing jackets when we go outside or even inside the house. There are even times when I have to put on socks for the cold temperature is making me chill and uncomfortable. We thought that weather will last for more weeks but as when February just came in, the heat has started to creep. Oh boy, we’re already complaining how hot it was most especially outside.

I guess the weather makes a lot of people getting sick most especially the kids. My 8 yr old niece got sick for few days with colds and fever and her parents need to consult her doctor for medicines. The weather and the pollution are just some of the factors that makes us sick. The air that we breath everyday can also make us acquire diseases for there are allergens that are floating in the air.

All you need to do is to find out what are the features that they are offering and match it with your cellphone and budget needs. These days, if you don’t have a cellphone, it seems that you’ve been left behind.

Now that Chinese New Year will officially come February 3, 2011, I’ve been craving for the tikoy (Chinese rice cake) that we used to buy at Eng Bee Tin store in Binondo. My brother used to go there in Quiapo almost 2x a month but I’m not sure he’ll be able to go to Manila to buy us some hopia and tikoy.

Anyway, I wish someone can give us tikoy as it was believed to be lucky. I also made sure that I cleaned the house today and I’ll be wearing something red tomorrow. I guess there’s no harm in following their tradition as we all want to be happy, prosperous and healthy. I’m sure other non-Chinese will even put lucky charms, circle shaped fruits on their tables or omnimount for luck. Just remember even if we follow what the Chinese are doing, we still need to work hard and not just rely purely on charms.
