The Perils of Texting While Driving

Lately, I always noticed that my brother will ask someone to answer or read his messages on his phone while he was driving. He already got that habit because I was once told him not to text nor answer the phone when he is on the road for it is very dangerous. Driving + Texting = Accident most of the times for your attention will be divided on keeping alert on the road and clicking all those letters on your phone.

My sis NEVER answers her phone while she was driving especially when her kids are with her and I commend her for doing that. She'll never put her family at risk just for the sake of answering the phone. Almost everyone already knows that when she can't answer the phone it is probably because she is driving.

Not everyone follow the "no texting while driving" habit though like you can see in this video. tsk tsk..

  1. This is so true! We cannot emphasize this enough. This is also why I stop at nothing at reminding my husband to not use the phone while behind the wheel.

  2. This is a challenge for my hubby who is a sales supervisor and he often gets a lot of calls from workmates he cant help but have calls while driving.

Must be there to remind him of the dangers it poses.

  6. So sad that many are still so stubborn about the importance of not using cellphones while driving.

  7. That's our biggest challenge, my husband can't stop that bad habit, he's always on the go and he can't resist texting while driving-good thing his phone has voice command, but he's still distracted and I really hate it, grrrrr :)

  8. So true.. However I can't relate. kasi I have no car at the same time never pa akong nagka-cellphone. That implies na safe ako while driving..I mean nakikisakay.

  15. There was an episode from Glee, Quinn got into a car accident because she was texting while on the road. Boom! Her character survived the accident but was into a wheel chair for quite some time :)

I'm nervous whenever Hubby answer calls while driving. I hope that he'll get rid of this habit soon.
