Rainy days are here again and we’ll be expecting lots of typhoons this year. In fact, big storms already came in and just about 2 weeks ago Storm Basyang showed her might. It has very strong winds that caused some of our small trees to fall and our internet’s satellite line to snap on its place. There’s no electric power for 23 hours in our area that we actually didn’t expect.

After that incident, my mom called also our helper to clean the gutters in our roof for lots of leaves and other debris got stock during that storm. Mom also asked our helper to check on the leak on my bedroom’s roof and had it fixed.

Now we are ready for the rainy days and we just hope that no more big storms will come in. Just in case you need some roofing materials, check out Ondura for they have wide range of products to choose from.

Capturing Memories Through Photography

I love photos and if my memory serves me right, when I was still in highschool which was over 2 decades ago, my love for taking pictures started it all. During that time, film was still in use and you still need to scroll a button to take another picture.

Cameras and photography has evolved since and right now I have my own DLSR and point & shoot camera to take photos. If I have lots of time, I just grab my camera and take photos of things that interest me. Digital photography is a hobby that I enjoyed though I’m just novice and still learning. If given the time, I also wanted to enroll myself in a photography class. Some of my works are printed in a photobook that I can show them to family and friends.

I always admire photographers who have good eye on things and can convert simple objects to a beautiful photo. David Proett, a wedding photographer Richmond area is a good inspiration as he can capture memories for all types of occasions and events. Check out some sample photos at his site and be inspired.

Importance of Cars

These days, we can already consider having a car as a necessity rather than just pure luxury. I know not every individual or family can afford to buy one but for those that require going out frequently due to work or business, owning one can be advantageous in the long run.

Just imagine all the hours that you’ll be spending just to catch a bus, train, jeepney or other means of transportation when in fact you can already use the hours wasted in being productive. Add the tremendous traffic and your day will be gone in blink.

Hiring a vehicle can be expensive as well so if you have the means, save money so you can buy your dream mitsubishi galant or acura mdx. And if you already have a car and seeking for more styles why not check out this mini Fiat 500, there are great reviews online about this three-door hatchback. Hybrid cars, are also getting good raves because of their aerodynamics and stylish looks.

Over Protective

I know every parent will do their best to protect their children at all times but being over protective can also do harm to their children.

Let me share a little story. It was snack time this afternoon and my nephew who is already almost 12 years old ( 1st yr. highschool) was on the other computer and I thought of asking him to buy me a drink at a nearby store. His mom heard it and told me, “ay  ‘wag, ako na lang ang bibili” (no, i will just buy it). I asked her how come? She said he might stumble on his way. Oh my goodness! How can he learn?

To tell you the truth, I can’t even recall an instance where he ride a jeepney  or go to the store for an errand all by himself.  At his age, he needs to grow up. But in fairness to his parents, they’ve been encouraging him to do things on his own but the poor kid is till afraid bec. he’s been shielded all these years.

I just hope he’ll learn to be more courageous and independent.

We all have the right to privacy and once it is violated, we have all the right to file lawsuit. No bank, credit card company or any credit reporting company or any institution where we have our personal and credit information stored have the right to share or even sell these info to marketing companies.

TransUnion, a credit reporting company faced enormous cases in the US bec. they are found to have sold credit information to marketing companies which is totally illegal and direct violation of Federal Credit Reporting Act in the US. Those that have been affected with credits between 1987 and 2000 can file TransUnion Lawsuit in court. Claimants can seek help from O’Hanlon, McCollom and Demerath law firm that handles such case. You’re pretty real with people, but you can’t help hiding a good part of yourself.
You’re not truly happy with who you are at times… and believe it or not, it shows.
Try not to hide parts of your life from the people who matter to you.
Your friends and family are probably a lot more accepting than you realize!

Silver is also highly in demand and is also versatile just like gold. Get into Arts and Craft

Our family is into arts and crafts and it’s our way of expressing ourselves. Different members of our family are into different things such as oil painting on canvass, digital photography, digital scrapbooking, film making, web designing and cross-stitching. We all enjoy what we are doing and in fact my older bro even received recognitions and prizes for his winning entries in painting competitions. I think it is important that we all have at least one hobby, it is a great de-stressor and a great chance to express some creativity. So I encourage everyone to find a hobby that you love.

There are so many different hobbies that you can get interested in. One very creative hobby is pottery. The increase in the number of colorful glazes and the different clays available can result in some very unique and beautiful ceramic products. If you have an interest in pottery and ceramics, AMACO/Brent is a great website to go to for all of your pottery needs. They carry many different clays, glazes, and potting tools. They sell handy items like a ware cart, used to transport or store your products, potter’s wheels for those interested in wheel throwing and slab rollers to flatten the clay to a consistent thickness. AMACO/Brent is one of the leading suppliers of quality crafts and pottery supplies in the US and they have actually many dealers around the country where you can find these supplies. Students can also learn from their craft lessons.

AMACO/Brent is a one-stop shop for ceramic, crafts and pottery supplies. While browsing their site I also learned that artists, teachers, students, professional potters, and craft artists can gather together in a social networking community. This is a very good venue for them to share their tips, ideas, creations and more.

Sometimes We Need to Take Risk

Sad to say that I’ve never been an adventurous person maybe because I have this certain notion that I will fail and I can’t do it. I know it’s not a good perception but that is almost always that comes first to my mind. Business wise, I have some friends, who are encouraging me to enter into the franchising and without me even testing or researching about it, I immediately turned it down. I guess I only know myself too well and because that is not my forte.

I have known some investors who are always taking some risks and always on the open minded to lots of business possibilities. There are those who buy gold coins at US Gold Bureau and with the looks of it, it looks like a good investment.
